This November, TeamWRX embraced the spirit of the season by focusing on a theme close to our hearts: Giving Thanks and Giving Back. Across our branches in Atlanta, Savannah, and Dallas-Fort Worth, our teams launched various community service initiatives that not only brought us closer together but also made a tangible difference in our local communities. Here’s a glimpse into how each location contributed to this heartwarming cause.
Atlanta’s Thanksgiving at Thrive Academy
Founded in 2019 by Hammond McEver, Thrive Academy has become a beacon of hope in Atlanta. This private Christian school leverages education to empower students facing systemic injustices, childhood trauma, and poverty. This Thanksgiving, our Atlanta team had the privilege of preparing a home-cooked feast for the students and staff at Thrive Academy. The day was filled with joy, gratitude, and delicious food, as we shared moments with these inspiring young leaders, truly experiencing the heart of God through service.
Savannah’s Salvation Army Support
In Savannah, our team focused on collecting essential items for the less fortunate. By placing a donation box in our office, we gathered food, clothing, and household goods, which were later distributed by the local Salvation Army. This initiative not only supported individuals in need but also strengthened our team’s commitment to giving back, reinforcing the impact such gestures have on the community and the giver.
Dallas-Fort Worth’s Ministry Support
Our Dallas-Fort Worth team planned to serve lunch at a local ministry that provides shelter to children escaping abusive environments. Due to the sensitive nature of the facility, direct interaction was limited, but this did not dampen our team’s spirit. Instead, we donated the meals and spent the day doing cleanup around the facility, ensuring these children had a safe and welcoming space to call home, even if just for a while.
Giving Thanks and Giving Back
Through these community service initiatives, TeamWRX not only gave back to the community but also grew closer as a team. Each office brought its unique touch to the table, making a lasting impact on those we served.
